Making his hometown of Valenzuela City proud, Jaize has consistently been the top ranked designer at 48HoursLogo.com. With a staggering 910 wins he has made a name for himself as a highly recommended and steadily original artist. This twenty-nine year old Filipino is married to the beautiful Shiendy Maurine Sy with whom he has one daughter they lovingly refer to as “princess.” We’ve recently sat down with Jaize in an interview to help better understand the man behind the designs and look at his career with us so far.
CM: All right, here’s an abstract opener, describe yourself in only three words.
JZ: Determined, ambitious, and open-minded.
CM: Obviously you do a lot of designing, what do you do to unwind and relax?
JZ: I really enjoy PC Games like Frozen Throne (DotA), playing chess, and making sure I spend time with my friends and my family.
CM: Working through 48HoursLogo you have to communicate with people from all over the world, what languages do you speak?
JZ: I speak English and my native Tagalog.
CM: So what brought you to 48HoursLogo in the first place?
JZ: I joined on June 10, 2010 just to try to make some extra income.
CM: Well that plan worked very well, is that what has kept you here?
JZ: Certainly, it’s really become my bread and butter!
CM: You have quite an impressive portfolio, how long have you been a Graphic Artist?
JZ: For almost five years now.
CM: You definitely have a creative mind, what kind of training do you have?
JZ: I’m self taught!
CM: That’s amazing! Where have you used your talents before moving to 48HoursLogo.com?
JZ: I have previously worked for Asec Asia as a Graphic Artist and Graphics Supervisor. They are a world-class Business Process Outsourcing company offering Graphic Design, Legal Transcript Editing, and Data Encoding/Processing.
CM: When you sit down to begin working, where do you look for inspiration for your designs?
JZ: I actually like to browse through the 48HoursLogo Portfolio page.
CM: So how long have you been ranked #1 here?
JZ: ha ha, I can’t remember!
CM: What draws you to a particular contest, what do you look for in the briefs?
JZ: Creative freedom! It doesn’t matter what the company or business type is, I love when the Contest Holder removes their limitations for what their logo could be!
CM: In your competitions with the other designers at 48HoursLogo, are there any you’ve come across that you respect or admire for their design work?
JZ: Absolutely! I always look forward to seeing what catalin, Sgt.Trigger, and Masjacky all create.
CM: Jaize, you have without question set the bar for what an aspiring Graphic Designer hopes to achieve working through 48HoursLogo.com, what advice would you tell them to achieve success like you have?
JZ: I would tell them to just put God first, in everything that you do.

His excellent work is validated by his peers by being nominated for Logo of Month time and time again.
