FAVORITE designer COVER

Want to work directly with your favorite 48hourslogo designers? Here’s how…

There are times in business when you simply make a connection with someone you’ve partnered with. You look forward to working with them and are always pleased with the results. Many entrepreneurs who choose to get their logo through 48hourslogo find such relationship with the designers here. It may be that they won their contest, like their style of artwork, or are impressed with their portfolio.

As your business grows, so will your logo. You may need to change the tagline, advertise with a holiday-themed version, or simply prefer to work directly with one designer. That’s why we’ve made it easy to hire anyone in our Design Community for a 1-on-1 Project. Doing so is as simple as clicking a “Hire” button. To be thorough and answer potential questions, I’ve broken it down into three simple steps.

1. Find a Designer

You will need to find the designer you would like to work with. If they’ve participated in a contest of yours, you can go to that contest page and just hover your mouse over their name. A drop down menu will appear and you can click on their name to be directed to their personal portfolio page. Another way to locate them is from the Designers Page, you’ll find a link to it in the upper right hand corner of any page on 48hourslogo.com. That page lists all the designers based on their winnings from the past thirty days. Browse through the pages, or use the search bar in the upper righthand corner. Again, click on their name to be linked to their personal portfolio page, or use the blue “Portfolio” button. For instruction purposes, I’ll be looking up prodesign.

2. The Hire Button

Once on their portfolio page, you will see an orange “Hire” button on the right side of the page, underneath their Positive Rating and  Contests Won count. Clicking the button will direct you to their freelancehour.com page, where 48hourslogo.com offers services for 1-on-1 Projects.

2 Portfolio Page

Also worth noting, on any designer’s 48hourslogo.com portfolio page, is a newly added “Stats” page. The Stats page first shows a chart of contests won and success rate, broken down into the last twelve months. Underneath of that, there is a list of each month that shows the logo contests they won (that aren’t private), their success rate for that month, how many contests they entered, and how many they’ve won.

2 Stats

On the Freelancehour.com page, click on the “Hire” button. Inside the Hire button will list the hourly rate that the designer has set. While you’re on there, take a look at specific services that particular designer offers, conveniently listed at a set price. You’ll find many options organized into four topics: Design & Graphics, Website Development, Online Marketing, and SEO.

3. Order Now

When you’ve clicked the button, a pop-up menu will appear with an order form. It will list at the top in a yellow box with instructions the designer will need from you. Below that is the Order Requirements field. Use this space to fill out any questions or directions from you about the project. There is an “Attach File” button in the lower lefthand corner of this box for any files you would like to include.

If you already have an account with 48hourslogo, you should be automatically logged in. If you do not, you will need to fill out three items of information at the bottom.

  • Email: please provide an email to be contacted with.
  • Name: create a user name to go by.
  • Password: create a password for your account.

This will create an account for you. Click the green “Submit” button at the bottom and your order will be sent the the designer! They will receive an email notification that an order has come in.

3 Freelance Order Page

From there the designer will contact you to verify the information and price. When accepted by the designer, the order will be tracked through freelancehour.com. All proofs can be uploaded to the order page or emailed directly to you. The final design package can be upload there also.

Remember, a designer can be hired for any graphic design needs you have. Check out the options on freelancehour.com for even more services. I hope this post helps you stay in contact with the designers you love!
