- Logo Name:
- (main). The Lodge at Palmer Point (tagline) Residential Assisted Living
- Company Intro:
- Residential Assisted Living. Think of your parent who is aging and you can't personally take care of them so you want to find an actual house that has been converted into an assisted living residence. website= www.lodgepalmerpoint.com (The logo shown is currently a placeholder only that we aren't in love with and that is why we decided to try a contest)
- Instructions:
- We are a private home that was converted into a Residential Assisted Living facility that is an actual home, and VERY NICE. - 10 Bedrooms / 13 Baths with a baby grand piano in the great room. 1. name = The Lodge at Palmer Point (main) Residential Assisted Living (tagline) Choice of Color - We are thinking that we would like to incorporate an idea of the house and the idea of a heart into the concept. Open to your ideas but natural earth tones- the heart a deep luxurious red with depth like the one attached. This is a luxury assisted living facility and we want our logo to reflect a sense of that. Also nature incorporated into the logo -as this house is surrounded by a 700 acre park with miles of hiking trails. Maybe a hint of a pine tree somewhere? We like the heart somehow inside the drawing of the house and the heart shows depth - like the logo of the company we bought out (attached)and would like to incorporate ONE similar heart into the logo. 1) We would like the house as a line drawing that will MIMIC the style of the UNIQUE ANGLES JUTTING OUT BESIDE THE WINDOWS with wavy roofs (to have the picture designed to span across all the letters) but NOT be symmetrical and incorporate the angles of the exterior walls of the house. We are just looking for a 'snapshot' of the style of just one part of the house that shows it uniqueness that would be immediately familiar and recognizable- (not outlining of the entire house) We do NOT want it to feel like your typical realtor house roof logo – we want unique, nature, classy. The lines representing some part of the exterior of the house should come across in the logo so If I pull up to the house, I see a familiarity in our logo. 2) We DO want the WAVY nature of the actual ceramic tiles from the roof. Not just straight, simple lines but a little wavy. I'm attaching some pictures of the roof tiles and different house angles 4) Classy, unique, Colorado, nature, luxurious, rich colors and a logo overall that conveys a sense of quality.
Reference Samples:
- LI am attaching the style we like. We want to change 'at' back to match the font of the other words and bring all the words on that line to the same color. Speaking of colors, we want to move away from black for any of the logo. I am attaching some color pallets we like. I would like to change the red heart to the red color on the very far right of this pallet. We would like to have 3-4 colors overall - We would like to get your input on what you think would look good from this pallet to add color to the logo and words. For the trees - I (possibly) want to pick a more muted tone that compliments this pallet (or maybe this green works once you change the colors, not sure) - or I'm open to seeing another color of tree if it blends into the logo color scheme. It probably makes sense to have the two lines of words a different color, but I would like to see what you come up with for colors and then we can decide
- LI also want the house to not be black but part of the pallet color scheme I sent
- LAnd for the 'fence' in the picture on the top left of the house, I liked the more simple, fewer lines in the other drawing. If you feel you want to simplify some of the lines in the drawing for the house overall, I think I would be OK with that. I like the Archway but I don't know that we need to be that literal with all the windows - but I don't know if you should change it or not.
- LHi- We are very close with minor changes - THANK YOU. On the attached pdf- We like the logo color choices overall for the words and house/trees in #25. The red and green theme. We would like to add the line between the main name and the tagline. We like you to add the shading to #25 like you did above the trees and below the heart for the sky in #26 and we like the simple sans-serif style font you used in #26. Can you do that and then show us that logo on a white background and also a dark background to confirm how it will show up when it is transparent against a website? I want to see how the house would show up as solid white with everything else being transparent lines - I believe I am asking you to mask off the house so it stays white -if I am describing it correctly.
- LWhen you mask the house, could you cut out at least the two top right windows so they bleed through the background?
- LWe like the colors and the logo overall now but the white house still has something missing.... On the dark background something looks wrong. Can you color the house using the yellow tones you used for the sky. In reality the house is a light yellow / antique white. The bright white just looks wrong on a dark background. For the windows, I'm not sure if I like the cutout. We either need to cut out all of them, or should we shade them differently somehow and leave them opaque? I could use your judgement as an artist. Something just feels wrong on the dark background with the house.
- LI am sending these to my partner to get his input but I won't hear anything until tomorrow to see if we have a winner. I'll get back in touch as soon as I hear from him.
- LMy partner really likes #28 - (with the solid white house) -leaving the two top left balcony windows cut out for background to bleed through and everything else solid as they are. We want to have the line under the words changed to red (not yellow) and I believe we are done.
- L...This one - just change the line above 'Residential Assisted Living' to Red
