I am okay with using just the letters, or spelling it out. They have been in business 25+ years, and using the same logo. They want a refreshed look. Using text only, an icon, building in a football and soccer ball, or a combo of all work. They have no preconceived ideas. The sample images are simply ones that stood out to me. Do not feel the need to go in that direction.
