- Mission (from the current web site) NAPEEF is committed to the commercial building and facilities management industry. We believe that changes in technology and demographics have created new opportunities in the training and education of building engineering personnel, many of which exist outside of traditional educational channels. NAPEEF's mission is to help in the transfer of traditional and emerging knowledge within the profession, to take advantage of new platforms and channels, and to address the demand for trained and certified building engineering professionals. Objectives The new logo and web site must support the primary goal of increasing class enrollment for NAPEEF courses and certification programs. Secondarily, NAPEEF must attract expert instructors for classes. The organization must be seen as leading the industry with innovative, hands-on courses that give individuals the skills they need to succeed. Audiences Businesses involved in facilities management are constantly seeking trained and certified professionals in electrical, refrigeration, HVAC and building engineering. These professionals not only keep buildings comfortable but also protect the value of real estate assets. To fulfill its mission, NAPEEF targets: Businesses in need of trained and effective technicians. Individuals who seek new career opportunities in the field. Experienced technicians who want to expand their knowledge and are required to be certified. Organizations that benefit from additional professionals in the field, such as AOBA. Messaging NAPEEF provides value to facilities managers and engineering professionals in several ways. Hands-On Courses that give students the benefit of working on real equipment in a classroom setting. This gives building managers confidence that when they send staff members for training, they will get a solid education. Students who are supporting their own education can be confident they are gain earning power through professional development and certification. Innovative course content and course offerings that ensures students receive the education they need for a changing industry. Master Teachers who are solid educators because of their deep experience in the field. Access to a Network of trained, active industry professionals who assist in career counseling, problem solving, and more. Convenient locations and class times mean that students can take courses without putting their careers or personal lives on hold. As a non-profit created to serve the building industry and governed by a board of industry professionals, NAPEEF is in a unique position to deliver value through a solid education, and has done so for over 27 years. The logo must include the main letters: NAPE Include this tagline: Hands-on Education for Building Engineers Additional Creative Requirements Colors - the colors for the logo should be warm, vibrant, primary colors to show the organization’s commitment to innovation and customer service. Technical Field - the logo should include some symbolism that denotes that technical, modern nature of the work their students do in electrical, refrigeration, HVAC and building engineering. Symbol ideas include: Representing the flow of electricity, warm air and cold air Representing power, light, heat and cool Simple in a symbolic way - even with a symbol that shows the technical nature of the organization, the logo should be kept simple. Can be recreated in black and white - the logo needs to be easily reproducible in black and white.
