- Logo Name:
- Winnisquam Watershed Network
- Company Intro:
- A collaborative effort of individuals and organizations acting to preserve and protect Lake Winnisquam for future generations.
- Instructions:
- The focus is on the lake. We live in an area with lots of them, all with mountains in the view in the distance. Waters flow from higher elevations, in the form of brooks, rivers and streams (as well as underground) to feed the lakes. We have many examples of the logos used by other local lake associations (I will try to provide some). We don't want ours to resemble any of them too closely. Our area is known for loons (a type of bird) but the struggle is, if using a loon in the logo, it should be done in a way that's different, not the usual side image of a loon floating along the top of the water. We have many kinds of trees here, pine trees, birches, maples and elms are the most common. You could include some, but not necessarily all, of the following: water, lake, trees (distant or close up), river coming down a mountain, wildlife (loons), small recreational watercraft (kayak, canoe, small sailboat), a small personal dock (for boats to tie to), etc.

- DDesigners, PLEASE read all information carefully. Also, do not use red in the design. Thank you.
- DWow, we're off to a great start! I love the colors in #1, 5, 7 and 10 so far. Thank you to those who read my instructions so well and didn't put loons in the over-used side view floating position, you've captured some nice active positions. It's important to note that Loons are solitary creatures. It's rare to ever see two together unless they are a mother and babies. It might be worth mentioning that people use kayaks a lot more than canoes these days. It would be nice to see some logos with a kayak instead of a canoe. Thanks for all your great work!
- DThere are some good action shots of loons here: https://www.google.com/search?q=loon&tbm=isch&tbs=rimg:CULKcVz8oH5eIjivAgztErSNtSZHe_1G3vNx4p7jwcGUxnQlN09A761wE8B_1ojnqc2bo4HlXxm5gzp55P3sy2JxT_1SCoSCa8CDO0StI21EcysnL_1u0egRKhIJJkd78be83HgRuOBGId593HIqEgmnuPBwZTGdCRGDZU72s6kD2ioSCU3T0DvrXATwEXzgLLJ7Oc1fKhIJH-iOepzZujgRKNV8Iv90hcgqEgkeVfGbmDOnnhG8E7SSStLUQCoSCU_1ezLYnFP9IEcc8IZyeHFoy&tbo=u&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjkrPH1lpLaAhWqnuAKHSF4D8wQ9C96BAgAEBs&biw=1284&bih=591&dpr=1.5
- DI love what I'm seeing! So much talent!!! The loon in #17 and #18, has a bit of an S shape to it. I'm surprised no one has tried something like that with the name. I'd love to see it tried.
- DThank you ALL for the great work. Forgive me for not responding sooner.Today was a Christian holiday so people here were all busy with family guests or traveling to see family. I will present these to my group tomorrow and make my selection based on their input.
