Minimalist design, no graphics, creatively incorporate the "D", "B", "3". Reason for DB3 is my family's initial. I am "D" and my wife and 2 kids are all "B" x 3. Avoid using the #3 but instead incorporate the 3 "B"s. would love it if the "D" and/or "B" is part of the logo as the line shape. Ex: the "D" as a triangleish looking shape and same as the "B"
I like lines and shapes... No curves. 

- Another option is if you can also try to create a simple "DB" with the "B" incorporating 3 CHEVRON arrow shapes as part of the "B" font. I like simple yet creative. Chevrons are like 2 sides of a triangle with usually 2 of them side by side (see reference uploaded with comments). 

Overall, i like simple yet meaningful in letters &amp; shapes via straight thin lines
