Project Brief: Logo Design Competition for “Big Dink Energy”

About the Competition:
Side Out Coffee, a specialty coffee roastery dedicated to the pickleball community, is launching an exciting new collection of single-origin roasts to be sold on Amazon called Big Dink Energy. 

This collection celebrates the fun, competitive, and vibrant culture of pickleball while delivering top-tier specialty coffee in light, medium, and dark roasts. We’re inviting talented designers to help us bring this collection to life by creating a bold, memorable logo that embodies the spirit of pickleball and great coffee.

Side Out Coffee already has an existing brand bible and cohesive look and feel please reference the attached 2025 Press Kit to understand the vibe of this brand. Big Dink Energy should be a fun fresh feeling brand and we are open to it being more colorful. It will be sold mainly through Amazon and through a ton of influencer marketing on Instagram and TikTok. 

Project Goals:
The winning logo should:
	•	Capture the Essence: Reflect the playfulness of the term “Big Dink Energy,” which is a fun, pickleball-inspired twist on the phrase “Big Dick Energy.”
	•	Appeal to Pickleballers: Resonate with the growing pickleball community while remaining modern, energetic, and creative.
	•	Represent Side Out Coffee: Maintain a connection to our brand identity as a premium, pickleball-focused coffee roastery.
	•	Stand Out on Amazon: Be visually striking, clear, and easily recognizable as a product logo on an e-commerce platform.

Design Inspiration:
	•	Pickleball Themes: Paddle designs, pickleball icons, or playful pickleball-inspired elements.
	•	Coffee Elements: Beans, cups, steam, or brewing visuals to tie back to specialty coffee.
	•	Energy and Playfulness: Bold fonts, vibrant colors, and designs that exude energy and confidence.
	•	Versatility: The logo should work well on packaging, merchandise, and digital platforms.

Target Audience:
	•	Pickleball players and enthusiasts of all ages.
	•	Specialty coffee drinkers who value quality and community.
	•	Consumers who enjoy fun, modern branding with a sense of humor.

Submission Requirements:
	1.	Logo Design: Submit a high-resolution design in vector format (AI, EPS, or SVG).
	2.	Color Variations: Include full-color, black-and-white, and single-color versions.
	3.	Logo Rationale: Provide a brief description explaining the concept and thought process behind your design.
	4.	Scalability: Ensure the logo works for both small applications (like product labels) and large displays (like banners or signs).

I work with lots of high end &amp; custom vehicles, I’m looking for a LIFETIME logo. I want something that screams custom hot Rod with a touch of luxury. 

Thinking is this logo being on stickers and T-shirt’s I’m also wanting to keep it somewhat simple but not to much. Thinking of this as the logo on the front of a T-shirt, still needs to look good when shrunk down in size, or possibly embroidered. 

Couldn&#039;t have asked to work with a better designer for my first experience! abss was super attentive, easy to connect and explain my ideas with, and patient when awaiting my responses! Def. hope to see more work in the future

Abss was an awesome designer to work with.  Abss took the work step by step and did not move forward until I was satisfied with the initial piece they were working on.  Abss took my suggestion and made recommendations which resulted in a very beautiful project that will work for our company for years to come.
