Hey there! We’re Ogden Axolotls, a small pet breeder located in Ogden NY, and we’re here to get some help branding our company with a logo that is as wonderful as these little guys are. If you’re not sure what an Axolotl is, no worries- we’ve gathered some information from across the internet for you to learn a little bit about these super cute, silly, little creatures.
Although the Axolotl is colloquially known as the "Mexican walking fish", it is not a fish, but an amphibian. Axolotls are unusual among amphibians in that they reach adulthood without undergoing metamorphosis. Instead of developing lungs and taking to the land, adults remain aquatic and gilled. An Axolotl’s diet mostly consists of nightcrawlers/earthworms.
There are five main Axolotl color variations. Wild Type (brown/tan with gold speckles and an olive undertone), Leucistic (pale pink with black eyes), Albino (golden with gold eyes), Axanthic (grey/sometimes almost purple with black eyes) and Melanoid (all black with no gold speckling or olive tone).

For a logo we want something that will look nice when added to the corner of an Instagram/Facebook photo. Maybe something with an axolotl face or few, one snacking on a nightcrawler, we’re not too sure... that’s why we’re here! We’ve included photos/art of different color morph Axolotls to help you create. Logo should be clean, "kawaii", cute, yet still professional, and fun. Thank you for all of your hard work! You designed some wonderful logos. I'm not certain which 3 will be the finals yet (THANK YOU for the 3!), but am about to sit down and really look at them.
I have a couple of pictures of examples of where/how this logo would be used, that I will attach here to help you make any needed adjustments for those applications.
