there is a natl holiday in america called juneteenth that celebrates the end of slavery in america on june 19, 1865. juneteenth is mash up of june and 19th (pronounced nine-teenth) if you curious - you can read all the background at https://www.juneteenth.com basically - it’s the same concept as the 4th of july for americavor bastille day in france or aug 15th in india. so basically - an independence celebration for black ppl in america.
